What is Academic Integrity?
"Academic integrity is the commitment to and demonstration of honest and moral behavior in an academic setting" (UNC).
It is the duty of every student or learner to instill academic integrity as spelled out in the policies of their academic institutions or colleges. It comes without saying that as a student, you are entirely responsible for doing your own work, and this work must be original. Whenever you are deemed to borrow ideas from different scholars or educators, these should be cited properly according to your school's guidelines. That is, it is always important to acknowledge whichever authors you borrow ideas from.
